It's that time of year again!
I mentioned this over Twitter a few weeks back, and I had a lot of people ask if they had to play games WITH me in order to join the team, and if so what games I will be playing.
Firstly, you do NOT need to play with me in order to participate! If you just want to play solo, with other BPD Army team members, or even with people local to you who may or may not be involved with Extra-Life, you are more than welcome to do so! Don't feel like you can't help out if your list of games doesn't match mine.
Secondly, for those of you who are curious as to what games I will be playing, here is a list of the majority of the games I currently own*
- Diablo (2 and 3)
- Minecraft (vanilla + Tekkit)
- World of Warcraft (but NOT the new MoP expansion)
- Warcraft 3
- The Sims 3
- Portal (1 and 2)
- Team Fortress 2
- Left for Dead 2
- Civ 5
- Super Meat Boy
- CoH : Going Rogue
Steam ID: Lizardbeth
*Includes non-multiplayer games. Also, just because a game is listed doesn't mean it is a guarantee I will end up playing it, nor is this an all-encompassing list of everything I might play. Last year I played a few random browser games that people in the Ustream chat recommended to me, including QWOP.
EDIT: Last minute technical issues are preventing me from streaming any XBox content. So it'll be PC gaming all day! Sorry, guys. ;^_^
Q : If BPD Army members are streaming their own play sessions, when/how should they send you their information?
Closer to Oct 20th, I will be setting up a dedicated event page which will have my video stream feed, chatroom, and donation buttons for myself and any BPD Army team member who has signed up. After I do that, just e-mail a direct link to your stream to LizardbethArt@gmail.com and I will post it next to your Extra Life donation button.
Q: I don't have any money, nor can I pledge to do the 24 hour marathon myself. But I still want to help! What should I do?
Spread the word! Tell friends, family, co-workers, and fellow BPD fans about the pledge drive. The more people that know about it, the more likely we will meet our goal between new sign-ups to the BPD Army as well as money donations. So don't worry if you can't afford the money or time yourself, because you probably know people who can!
