A couple weeks ago at FA:United, I decided to try something new as an experiment...
- D20 Comics! -
It works pretty much like this: a potential victim. . . er, I mean, customer. . . rolls a D20. Whatever they roll determines the theme of their comic (based on the chart to the right.) I then write & draw a four-panel comic based around that theme, staring up to two characters of their choice (though I may add an extra or two at my discretion if the particular joke requires it.)
Considering the small-and-intimate size of FAU, the experiment did fairly well! Below are most* of the comics I did over the 3-day weekend. Apologies for the less-than-steller image quality; all I had with me was my iPhone's camera to save the images. ;^_^
*I DID miss a couple! If yours is missing, I would greatly appreciate a scan if possible.
Want a D20 Comic of your Own?
Black & White: $30 -OR- Full Digital Color : $80
Buyers for both comic styles will get the original hand-drawn B&W comic, but buyers of full-color comics get a bonus color glossy print as well. Please add $5 for US/CA shipping; all others pay $9.
I'll be accepting these on a very limited, first-come-first-serve basis to start. If you would like to get on the queue, just post in the comments. Please include your e-mail address so I can contact you when it's your turn! Payments should be made via PayPal AFTER I e-mail you.
I would prefer to live broadcast drawing as many of these as possible via Ustream, so if there are particular times/days that work best for you, please let me know. I will do my best to accommodate you (and if I can't, I will make sure I record the drawing session!)
. . . . .
BONUS: General Comic Update
I am currently working with a friend on the payment/progress logging back-end for the Comic Ransom system (or rather, I told him basically what I need, and he's doing his genius, I-make-magic-with-strings-of-code thing.) I have a couple-dozen page BPD return story scripted, and right now I'm working on laying out all of the pages. No ETA on when everything will go live at present, but I wanted to give you guys a quick update as to the behind-the-scenes progress in case you were curious. :)
Thank you all so much for your patience and support! You guys truly are amazing.
